Les papiers que Josep Pla a \u00e9crits sur les Iles Bal\u00e9ares sont nombreux et vari\u00e9s. La fascination que l’\u00e9crivain de Palafrugell ressentit pour cet endroit de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, l’impression d’identification imm\u00e9diate et profonde qu’il y \u00e9prouva, ont donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 des textes journalistiques et litt\u00e9raires depuis le tout d\u00e9but de sa vie professionnelle jusqu’\u00e0 ses derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Journaliste et \u00e9crivain, voyageur infatigable, curieux imp\u00e9nitent domin\u00e9 par \u201cla diab\u00f2lica mania d\u2019escriure<\/em>\u201d, il \u00e9tait tout jeune lorsqu’il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 chercher \u201cel genius loci de les illes somiades<\/em>\u201d. Pour Pla, voyager et \u00e9crire formaient un bin\u00f4me indissociable qui supposait de conna\u00eetre et de comprendre aussi bien le paysage que les gens de l’endroit qu’il visitait.<\/p>\n

Entre les ann\u00e9es 1920 et 1970, Pla a voyag\u00e9 \u00e0 travers le monde et expliqu\u00e9 ce qu’il y a vu. Profond\u00e9ment localiste, il porta sur toutes choses un regard extr\u00eamement personnel avec l’intelligence po\u00e9tique qui le caract\u00e9risait et avec l’ironie et le scepticisme n\u00e9cessaires pour vivre au quotidien.<\/p>\n

Qu’il parle \u201cdel meu pa\u00eds<\/em>\u201d, de l’Ampourdan ou de Majorque, le r\u00e9sultat est le m\u00eame, \u00e0 travers les gens qui y vivent, qu’ils soient c\u00e9l\u00e8bres ou simples paysans, il a toujours dessin\u00e9 un monde pr\u00e9cis, concret et bien d\u00e9fini, fait \u00e0 sa mesure, d\u00e9crit de fa\u00e7on subjective et avec le regret de ce que l’on perd les ann\u00e9es passant.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 Majorque, Minorque, Ibiza, Formentera et m\u00eame \u00e0 Cabrera, il a voulu trouver l’essence, la m\u00e9diterran\u00e9it\u00e9 qui avait ravi son \u00e2me, l’insularit\u00e9 qui caract\u00e9rise les gens qui y vivent. Il a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 en conna\u00eetre, en comprendre et en expliquer par \u00e9crit l’actualit\u00e9, les \u201chomenots<\/em>\u201d, les transformations sociales, culturelles et naturelles.<\/p>\n

Cette exposition qui s’est tenue \u00e0 Majorque, \u00e0 Minorque et \u00e0 Ibiza gr\u00e2ce au concours de la\u00a0Fundaci\u00f3 \u201cla Caixa\u201d<\/em>, r\u00e9unissait une grande diversit\u00e9 de documents r\u00e9v\u00e9lateurs de la relation que l’\u00e9crivain avait entretenue avec les Iles Bal\u00e9ares.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
